"Gorgeous Gatsby" How to Style a "Themed Wedding" without going Overboard...

7/22/2017

I have been so lucky to be a part of so many beautiful, unique and oh so special weddings.  Occasionally, I have a client looking to make their "BIG DAY" reflective of a time period, tv show, book, even a song!  This is always a lot of fun to plan with endless ideas, details and ways to make the guests feel like they walked into the theme of the event!

So, how do you make your "Themed wedding" something elegant while still getting your point across?  Very carefully.

Words to live by - Success is in the details.  This is true for any event, but when you are trying to bring a theme to life, it is exceptionally important!

With this GORGEOUS Gatsby wedding, we used the couples love of books, music and the era and brought it to life with the venue (Edson Keith Estate), the live entertainment (Jazz band) and the rich color palette.  Pair these bigger items with all the little touches that made this wedding so personal and intimate and we had a once in a lifetime experience for the Bride & Groom - as well as all their closest family and friends in attendance.

Throw in the most spectacular lounge area I've ever seen - (I mean, that crimson couch...) and when paired with the right details we had the guests "ooh-ing, and ahh-ing" all night!

Remember, if you are on the fence about something being "too much" it probably is, and with most things - Success is in the details.

Thank you to these amazing wedding pros:

How to best describe this intimate Casey Key Wedding? Tranquil Elegance.

I love planning each and every wedding I am so fortunate to be chosen for, but the smaller ones hold a special place in my heart.

I believe that a successful event lies in the details.  Sometimes when you have a larger guest list you are not able to really focus on the little things that make a day so special, but when you are able to really narrow down who you want to invite it gives you the ability to take the time to think about every little thing that goes into the day.

We ordered in hand died muslin table runners, custom dishes, and used a hemp stitch napkin to give the table a really soft, yet coastal look.

We scoured the area for just the right candle sticks, starfish and table decor to fill the center of the beautiful farm tables with just enough to compliments the greenery and florals so perfectly styled by Victoria Blooms.

The Bride and Groom gave us a little direction in their design, and we were able to run with it and do what we do best - make weddings meaningful, beautiful and oh so special.

Thank you to these amazing Vendors!
