Let me start by saying, thank you Suja - for trusting me!! We had this amazing vision in mind, exploding with color and you totally let me do my thing - so, thank you for that!
Now that that is out of the way - where do I begin?!? Suja was my first ever Indian wedding, I was so excited to work with the brilliant colors, and textures - not to mention the amazing culture! I learned SO MUCH, about the food, the traditions, the religion - but mostly, the kindness that her family showed towards everyone they met.
We planned from afar (really far, Canada to be exact), but had a great time planning from the very beginning. We chose a palette, gold accents, a menu and florals for a two day wedding extravaganza - and it was truly amazing!
From her beautiful henna art to her beautiful garments, I could not stop smiling from start to finish.
Let's talk about that cake - please? Cakes by Ron rocked it, with a custom Elephant (Roll Tide!!) Grooms cake to celebrate his time at The University of Alabama - where he was himself, Big Al. They didn't stop there - the cupcakes were all hand made to represent the feeling of the culture, the colors and even the amazing flavors.
I can't say enough about how much I miss speaking with Suja (almost daily), but I do look back on this wedding as one of the favorites, not only because, I mean - it's a stunner, but because both Suja and Sanj were amazing people who I will never forget!
