Let me start out by saying that I am TOTALLY partial to this being the cutest ring bearer ever - well, because he's my kid. But, there is no denying that he stole the show (at least before the bride made her appearance) at this Philadelphia wedding we planned last fall! My brother and his now wife learned that it is both a perk, and a pain to have a sister in law who is a wedding planner, and for all intents and purposes obsessed with the career that she loves! We planned every detail together and there were even a few things that the bride left up to me (which is truly a planners dream). The inspiration came from a photo of menswear - the look which the groom wore for the wedding. Tiny bits of polka dots here and there, navy gold and deep reds, purples and rich greenery. Oh, and candles - lot's of candles and soft romantic lighting. The Venue was the historic Water Works in Philadelphia - and it did not disappoint. The views were To. Die. For. It gave the guests just a touch of city, with water views and a historical ambiance that could not be duplicated. Not only was it a beautiful wedding, it was DELICIOUS. The food, let's talk about the FOOD!!! This was unique for me - as I was not "allowed" per the bride and groom to work at this wedding - so I had my team flown in to oversee things when I was off enjoying the day with my family. From the moment we stepped off the trolley onto the grounds, we were welcomed with champagne (you know I love it), lobster tails, jumbo crab - you name it. That was just the beginning - this gluttonous display continued through the night with a ridiculously large dessert display, passed chip-which sammy's (the brides fav) and more that I am sure that I didn't even know was there! Thank god the band was AMAZING and had an energy that was unparalleled (so we could work off some of those cals!! When we weren't eating -we were dancing the night away with a confetti cannon to seal the deal and send everyone on their way to enjoy the city of brotherly love.
