VenueI sure do LOVE my weddings, BUT it is so much fun to do something different from time to time and this was just the breath of fresh air I needed to get me into the Halloween Spirit! I was asked to plan a Halloween themed party for my client's 9 year old son - complete with a haunted house, tricks, treats and of course a Hayride for all to enjoy! Guests arrived and enjoyed fall themed catering by Morton's Gourmet - turkey and stuffing sandwiches, cornbread - the works! Once it got dark - the haunted house and hayride opened and everyone had a ball (some showed this by screaming, others nervously laughing their way through). I took this reaction as me doing my job, right? I mean a haunted house shouldn't be funny! The storyteller and the hayride was a bit more "kid friendly" and she told halloween stories more suited to the younger crowd. I had so much fun working with such a great team to pull this one off - it was definitely outside of the box of "normal" for me, but going from flowers to fog machines and tears of joy to maybe a few tears of terror was a great change. Now...what's next on the list of themed parties to plan??
