"Since Colonial America, the pineapple has been recognized as a traditional expression of welcome and hospitality throughout the South and Eastern Seaboard. Families would set out fresh pineapple when guests were invited over; the warmest welcome a family could extend to their guests."
This is the exact sentiment that Kate and Devon wanted to convey to their guests - that they were not all part of a big Ol' family and it was time to celebrate! Pineapples were her inspiration - but the bride also wanted a modern look with a Miami flair! Lot's of tropical palms, black and white stripes and colorful uplighting. Mote Marine Aquarium was the perfect location to make this dream a reality! I had so much fun bringing this vision to life - thank you Kate and Devon for choosing to work with me to plan your fairytale day! Every wedding I have the complete pleasure of planning is special to me. There is always something that makes the celebration stand out - the couples story, a unique vision, or even an emotional story that pulls at your heart strings.
THIS wedding, had it all. I adored every moment of planning with the bride from her California home. She was a complete joy, and the love that her and her now husband have for their little boy was undeniable. Kaleb - their son, was diagnosed with Autism a little while back, and since then Jen (bride) has dedicated her whole life to making his easier. Not only did Adrien and Jen want an enchanted garden feel to their wedding with modern touches of teal geodes, peacock and family heirlooms - they wanted to share their commitment to their son, and to Autism Awareness. Small touches throughout the day showed the Autism symbol - a puzzle piece. From their "guestbook" to the wedding favors - all was thought out in a way that was so special! I hope that you enjoy their touching wedding video as much as I enjoyed being a part of their day! Thank you to the amazing team of vendors!
